Gold Canyon Candle Care

Proper candle care not only keeps your candles beautiful, but it also extends the life of your candles so you get more hours of burn time!

The Tools You Need

For under $20, you'll have the basic tools you need for years of candle care: a Wick Trimmer and Wick Dipper. If you're anything but basic, upgrade to a Wick Sitter™ and add a décor element to your care routine. Click here to shop candle care

Trim the Wick

1. Trim the Wick

Wicks should always start at 1/4" above the wax to prevent soot build up and overheated glass. This patented Wick Trimmer will cut wicks to the perfect height when placed directly on top of the cooled, solid wax. Always discard any wick trimmings before lighting the candle.

Light and Burn

2.Light and Burn

To encourage an even burn without tunneling, light the candle and let it burn away from drafts until the entire top layer liquefies. Enjoy your candle for no more than four hours at a time. VoLight™ and Tealights should only be enjoyed for us to two hours at a time.

Dip the Wick

3.Dip the Wick

To extinguish your candle, use the non-decorative end of the Wick Dipper or Wick Sitter to push the lit wick into the melted wax and pull it back out again. This will prevent splattered wax, soot and smoke while making the wick easier to relight next time.
